New The Witcher Spin-Off in Development, Report Claims, But Not for Consoles
New Witcher Spin-Off Targets PC and Mobile Only

A new game set in The Witcher universe is reportedly in development, and it is not Project Sirius. According to MP1st, a free-to-play co-op action role-playing game set within Andrzej Sapkowski's fantasy world is being created. Unlike Project Sirius, this unannounced title is said to target only PC and mobile platforms, skipping consoles entirely.

Setting and Gameplay Details

The game reportedly takes place in the year 1230, when Geralt was still a young witcher. Players will be able to create and customize their own witcher, with the main gameplay loop revolving around taking on monster-killing contracts across various environments.

Possible Developer

While the report does not confirm which studio is behind the title, speculation points to mobile developer Scopely. Scopely formed a partnership with CD Projekt in March 2025 and is best known for Monopoly Go! and Star Trek Fleet Command. CD Projekt has previously dabbled in mobile spin-offs like Gwent and The Witcher Battle Arena, but none achieved significant success. If Scopely is involved, CD Projekt may be aiming for a Pokemon Go-style hit.

Upcoming Witcher Content

Fans are also awaiting The Witcher 4, announced in 2022 but yet to show proper gameplay footage. A cinematic trailer and Unreal Engine 5 tech demo have been released, but the latter was not from the actual game. A new expansion for The Witcher 3, titled Songs Of The Past, is set to launch next year and may be unveiled at Gamescom Opening Night Live on August 26. The Witcher 4 likely won't be shown until after the expansion's release, possibly at The Game Awards in December or later in 2027.
