Diablo 4 Season 14 Launch Approaches with Major Update

Blizzard Entertainment has released the patch notes for Diablo 4 update 3.1.0, arriving ahead of the Season 14 launch scheduled for June 30. The update introduces significant new content, including Mythic Changes, the ability to play as the Warlock class for free, and the emergence of a death cult via Ruptures across the game world.

Alongside the new features, Blizzard has implemented a wide range of gameplay tweaks, balance adjustments, and bug fixes affecting both the base game and expansions. Quality-of-life improvements have been made to the Horadric Cube and War Plans, with parties now able to generate fully shared War Plans boards featuring synchronised progression and objectives.

Unique Items and Affix Changes

Unique items now drop with two guaranteed affixes, a change Blizzard notes is too extensive to list fully in the patch notes but is detailed on the official Diablo 4 website.

Accessibility

  • Fixed an issue where Pathfinder route indicators could fail to appear in certain locations.
  • Fixed an issue where Pathfinder could direct players along invalid or discontinued routes during quest progression.
  • Fixed an issue where the Screen Reader would not read out locked text for locked classes in Character Creation.

Barbarian

  • Fixed an issue where Passive Chance to Hit Twice did not add modifiers to Double Swing tooltips.
  • Fixed an issue where the Bawl Upgrade for Challenging Shout did not grant additional Damage Reduction after increasing the skill’s rank.
  • Fixed an issue where non-attacks could grant stacks for the Winding Variant of Whirlwind.
  • Fixed an issue where Bash’s description stated it would Clobber on every 4th hit when it was actually every 5th hit.
  • Fixed an issue where the countdown on the action bar for Rallying Cry could be incorrect when using The World enhancement.

  • Fixed an issue where Escalation Dungeons could include Stronghold dungeons that had not been unlocked.
  • Fixed an issue where Capstone Dungeon bosses could drop excessive rewards, including unintended amounts of high-tier gems.
