According to reports from The Sun, Oasis are planning a massive 2027 tour that includes a 12-night residency at Manchester City's Etihad Stadium across six weeks starting in June, followed by six shows at Knebworth over three weeks. A source told the publication: 'Dates could be added, but for now that's the master plan.'
Knebworth's Special Significance
The source added: 'Knebworth is a special place for Noel and Liam. The shows in 1996 broke records as 2.6 million people applied for tickets. It was the largest demand for tickets in British music history. They broke that with Oasis Live '25. Now they're going to become the only act to have played Knebworth six times.'
Planned Second Run
The brothers reunited last year after the band split in 2009, putting aside their long-running feud for the Oasis Live '25 tour, which included 41 shows in 14 countries across five continents. A source said: 'Noel and Liam always planned for the tour to have a second run. There were discussions about announcing it during the World Cup because of the connection between Wonderwall and the Three Lions in this tournament.'
Glastonbury 2027 Rumours
There are also whispers that Oasis could headline Glastonbury 2027, with the new rumoured dates increasing their odds as bookies' favourites to top the bill at the festival.
Ticket Sale Timing
Fans should monitor Oasis' social media pages and Ticketmaster next month. The source said: 'They've settled on August. It'll give the country something to shout about — whether we're celebrating or commiserating.'
Anticipated Demand
During the Oasis '25 ticket release, many fans faced queues of over 500,000 people, leading to widespread scams and extortionate resale prices. The situation prompted Prime Minister Keir Starmer to comment that it was 'not fair' after fans saw the inflated prices. Similar scenes of high demand and potential frustration are expected for the 2027 dates.
