Manchester United have unveiled their new blue away kit for the 2026/27 season, returning to a classic look. The strip was debuted by rapper Stormzy during the World Cup final between Spain and Argentina, as the United fan shared the shirt on his Instagram story.
Kit details and availability
The fresh adidas shirt is now available through retailers including Fanatics, Kitbag, and the Man United Store, with prices starting at £40 for children and £85 for adults. United described the design as one that "revisits one of the club's most iconic away identities."
The kit features the classic adidas trefoil logo rather than the performance logo found on the home shirt, complemented by a red and white trim. The jersey has a bold royal blue base with engineered tonal stripes, red and white V-neck collar and sleeve cuffs, and red adidas three stripes on the shoulders.
Fan reactions
United supporters shared their reactions on social media. One fan posted on X: "Absolutely beautiful away jersey, a beautiful summery blue, love it." Another wrote: "What a beautiful away jersey. Manchester United have the best kit in the Premier League."
Not everybody was won over, however, with one commenter stating: "Not that great unlike the 2020/2021 season." Another supporter declared: "Finally an away kit that doesn't look like a training bib. This one's winning trophies in 26/27, mark my words."

The statement added: "Built on a bold royal blue base, the jersey brings together familiar foundations with refined textures and subtle accents, delivering a design that retains the clarity and confidence long associated with Manchester United on the road."
New signings Youri Tielemans, Andrey Santos and Karl Darlow will line up in the blue strip as Michael Carrick aims to take United back to the top of English and European football.
