Joey Essex vs Dapper Laughs: Misfits fight card and times

Misfits Boxing returns to London tonight with a packed card headlined by reality star Joey Essex taking on comedian Dapper Laughs on short notice. The event also features a co-main event between Swarmz and Ambush, plus appearances from Big Stacks, James Collins and Jordan McCann.

Main event and co-main action

Joey Essex faces Dapper Laughs at approximately 9.20pm. Essex plans a more measured performance after his debut last year, when he threw punches relentlessly against Numeiro until both men were exhausted. Dapper Laughs enters the ring for the second time after answering a late-notice call.

Swarmz and Ambush meet at around 8.50pm to settle their feud, which escalated when they clashed in the ring in Newcastle last month. They agreed to fight properly after chaos broke out. Ambush makes his debut, while Swarmz has won two of his six fights.

Heavyweight showdown and tag-team bouts

Big Stacks, who calls himself the UK's Hardest Man, fights for the third time this year at approximately 8.20pm. He lost a body-shot challenge to Armz Korleone in June before stopping Jordan McCann in the second round last month. He was due to face Apprentice star Thomas Skinner, but the bed salesman pulled out, and West Ham legend James Collins stepped in for his ring debut.

Jordan McCann returns at around 7.50pm against Mo Deen in a five-round clash where each round lasts one minute. McCann announced his retirement after his stoppage defeat by Big Stacks last month, but quickly reversed the decision. Both men have lost their first two fights.

A four-way Survivor Tag fight at 7.30pm sees Lil CraCra, Andrew Howson, Joey Knight and Felony Charles compete to see who can survive the longest. Lil CraCra and Joey Knight are considered favourites.

Undercard highlights

Plinio Cruz, who trains UFC heavyweight star Alex Pereira, was due to face Chase DeMoor, but the Misfits heavyweight champion was ruled out with an eye injury. DeMoor's coach Gary Olive steps in at 7.10pm to defend his pupil's honour.

Nitboy and Kane West, former enemies, team up against Little T and Cracky Tokky at 6.50pm. Nitboy shocked Kane West last month with a stunning victory, while Little T returns for the first time since his grudge match with Afghan Dan.

The night opens at 6.30pm with Carla Jade defending her lightweight title against former amateur boxer Erika Night. The Icelandic challenger is now better known for social media influencing but will hope her pedigree shows through.
