Dapper Laughs, whose real name is Daniel O'Reilly, will headline a Misfits Boxing event tonight against reality TV personality Joey Essex at the Copper Box Arena in London.
Who is Dapper Laughs?
The British comedian and online personality created the 'Dapper Laughs' persona in July 2013 when he began sharing brief, viral videos on the social media app Vine. He is most recognised for his early comedy work and his current 'Menace to Sobriety' podcast. After moving from reality television into stand-up comedy, he has gathered millions of followers across his social media channels.
Marriage to Shelley Rae
O'Reilly is married to former model Shelley Rae, with whom he has four children. He proposed to her during a televised eviction interview on Celebrity Big Brother in January 2018, and the couple officially married in July 2022.
Boxing record and tonight's fight
The 42-year-old comedian will aim to improve on his 1-0 professional record. His victory came as a first-round TKO win over fellow social media star Simple Simon. Joey Essex has also won his only previous boxing match.
Coverage of tonight's event starts at 7pm, with the main-event ringwalks expected at around 10.30pm.
Supporting bouts on the card
The card includes Carla Jade defending her Misfits women's lightweight championship against Erika Night, and a heavyweight contest between Chase DeMoor and Plinio Cruz. Former Premier League footballer James Collins will make his ring debut against Big Stacks, and a tag-team match pits Nitboy and Kane West against Cracky Tokky and Little T.
