Deputy Social News Editor Ariane Sohrabi-Shiraz tested the Cybex Click & Fold 3-in-1 high chair for her baby's weaning journey and found its foldable design a real game-changer for life in a small flat.
The chair, which has adjustable foot and seat plates, is suitable from six months to 99 years, according to the manufacturer. At £249.95, Sohrabi-Shiraz described it as a good investment. The beechwood high chair includes a baby set and tray, which can be removed from about three years old.
Simple assembly and sturdy build
Sohrabi-Shiraz was initially apprehensive about putting the high chair together, but found it incredibly simple to assemble. It took her no more than 15 minutes to click everything into place, with no need for her husband's help.
The chair comes in several colours; she chose the All Natural Light option, calling it a timeless colour that would fit any aesthetic. The wood feels solid and well made, and she felt confident putting her baby in it, noting he looked comfortable and well supported.
Practical design for messy mealtimes
The chair is designed to promote good posture, with a slight tilt and curved back to encourage an ergonomic, natural sitting position. It can be used from three years old without the baby set.
Sohrabi-Shiraz highlighted how easy the surfaces are to wipe down and keep clean, even after messy dinner times. The table clicks on and off easily, allowing access to hard-to-clean places. The chair can be folded away with the click of two buttons, though it tends to stay up in her flat because it is used so regularly and looks good.
Minor drawbacks
The high chair does not come with a harness, which Sohrabi-Shiraz said would be essential as her baby got older and started leaning more. Harnesses can be purchased separately for £39.95, which she noted is on the pricier side. The fabric parts can be put in the washing machine.
When folded with the baby set, the chair needs to be leaning on something or slipped behind something to stay upright. Overall, Sohrabi-Shiraz said she is incredibly happy with the high chair in terms of looks and functionality, calling it a great investment that can stay with a child for a long time.
