Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson has confirmed the club held 'dialogue' with Christian Eriksen over a potential move this summer, but a deal is unlikely. The former Manchester United midfielder, 32, is a free agent after his contract expired at Old Trafford.
Parkinson told BBC Sport Wales: 'There was a call, a bit of dialogue over the summer, but it's not gone any further than that. Obviously he's a majorly talented player and very well respected throughout football.'
Eriksen left United after three seasons, scoring on his final appearance in a 2-0 win over Aston Villa. The Danish playmaker previously starred for Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.
Wrexham, preparing for their first Championship campaign since 1982, have made several ambitious signings under owners Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds. Parkinson added: 'We've been linked with so many players... Some are true, some aren't.'
