Arsenal have made contact over a January move for Club Tijuana's 17-year-old Mexican attacking midfielder Gilberto Mora, according to TEAMtalk. The Gunners are among the clubs pushing hard in the transfer market as the January window approaches.

Mora release clause revealed

The report states that Mora has a release clause in the region of €20–25 million (£16.9-£21.1m). Arsenal are also said to be preparing moves for Pio Esposito, Antonio Nusa and Kenan Yildiz, while Erling Haaland is believed to prefer a switch to LaLiga if he leaves Manchester City.

Cherki to Liverpool twist

Liverpool are rumoured to be plotting a shock swoop for Manchester City attacking midfielder Rayan Cherki, though Paris Saint-Germain are also said to be watching developments closely. Chelsea are understood to be leading the race for Alex Scott but could face competition from Real Madrid, while they may have been handed a boost for Barcelona defender Jules Kounde.

Defender targets and striker decisions

Manchester United, along with Arsenal and Newcastle, are monitoring Roma wing-back Wesley. The 23-year-old Brazilian is now valued at least twice the €25million plus €5m Roma paid for him last summer. All three Premier League clubs are also keeping tabs on Monaco's Vanderson, who is valued at €35m–€40m.

Benfica have no plans to let Vangelis Pavlidis leave after Marco Silva made the striker central to his project, according to A Bola. Tottenham, Aston Villa, and Barcelona have all shown interest in the 27-year-old. Pavlidis prefers a future move to England but has a €100million release clause and a contract until 2029.

Fichajes claims that Liverpool could allow Giorgi Mamardashvili to leave if Alisson remains their first-choice goalkeeper. Juventus considered the Georgian last summer, while Inter Milan have also monitored his situation. Mamardashvili is valued at around €30million and remains under contract with the Reds until 2031.

Conte drops Man Utd hint

Antonio Conte has fuelled speculation that he could be interested in taking the reins at Manchester United after admitting he would love to restore a fallen giant to former glories. Speaking in an interview with The Athletic, Conte said he would like the chance to manage a team that had historically been successful and make them winners again.

Real Madrid are set to stand firm on their desire not to sell Endrick, according to TEAMtalk, despite interest in the Brazilian from Arsenal and Tottenham. Bournemouth could be facing an uphill battle to keep hold of Alex Scott, with TEAMtalk claiming Real Madrid are considering entering the race for the England international after scouts watched him against Croatia and assessed him on at least three occasions.

Arsenal are considering a move for Inter Milan striker Pio Esposito, according to TEAMtalk, who claim the Gunners sent scouts to watch the 21-year-old during Italy's recent Nations League match against Turkey where Esposito impressed by scoring in a 4-1 victory.

Chelsea have decided to loan out highly rated Under-21s captain Olutayo Subuloye in January, writes Sam Tabuteau. Standard Sport understands that a number of European clubs have already enquired about the 18-year-old centre-back, and several English clubs are also expected to register their interest. Subuloye has been on the fringes of the first team this season and trained with the squad at Cobham over the international break, playing 45 minutes in a behind-closed-doors friendly with Portsmouth.
