Arsenal Prepare £80m Bid for Morgan Rogers
Arsenal have made Morgan Rogers their top transfer target this summer and are expected to test Aston Villa’s resolve, according to Dom Smith and Matt Verri of the Standard. The Gunners are preparing a bid worth at least £80 million for the versatile No10, who can also play on the left wing. Rogers is keen on moving to north London, and personal terms are not expected to be an issue.
In addition, Arsenal continue to be linked with an audacious swap deal for Julian Alvarez, though Atletico Madrid have insisted on his €500 million release clause. The Gunners are also set to sign wonderkid Jeremy Monga and have shown interest in Ayyoub Bouaddi, Bradley Barcola, Eli Junior Kroupi, Christos Tzolis, and Andria Bartishvili.
Chelsea Close to Finalising Marco Palestra Deal
Chelsea are very close to finalising a deal for Atalanta full-back Marco Palestra, writes Dom Smith. The Premier League side hijacked Inter Milan’s move for the 21-year-old and agreed a package of around £45 million. Palestra will sign a six-year contract running to 2032, with an option to extend by a further year through to June 2033. The move is now almost done, with a medical planned.
Chelsea are also interested in Crystal Palace pair Maxence Lacroix and Adam Wharton as they look to bolster their squad under new manager Xabi Alonso.
Manchester United Receive Bruno Fernandes Update
Bruno Fernandes is set to stay at Manchester United this summer despite interest from Saudi Arabia, according to Ben Jacobs.
