Tottenham Hotspur have pulled off a significant transfer coup, completing the signing of England international Conor Gallagher from Atletico Madrid for a fee in the region of 40 million euros (£34.7 million).

Gallagher's arrival represents the first major signing of the post-Daniel Levy era at Tottenham, following Levy's departure as chairman in September. The transfer comes at a critical time for head coach Thomas Frank, who has faced increasing scrutiny after a run of just five wins in 20 matches. With fans voicing their discontent, the acquisition of a proven Premier League performer is a welcome development for the Danish manager.
Frank was effusive in his praise for the new recruit, highlighting both his on-pitch qualities and his off-pitch character.
