Manchester United Target Branthwaite and Olise in Summer Transfer Plans

Manchester United are preparing a major squad overhaul this summer, with Everton centre-back Jarrad Branthwaite and Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise emerging as key targets. The club's hierarchy, led by Sir Jim Ratcliffe, is yet to decide on manager Erik ten Hag's future, which will influence transfer negotiations.

United are prioritising defensive reinforcements after a dismal Premier League campaign. Branthwaite, 21, is a primary target, with Everton's financial difficulties potentially forcing a sale before June 30. The Red Devils also eye Bayer Leverkusen's Edmond Tapsoba but face a tougher negotiation.

In midfield, the club seeks a defensive midfielder to replace the declining Casemiro. Benfica's Joao Neves and Everton's Amadou Onana are under consideration, while Michael Olise is tipped as an attacking addition. United plan to offload several players, with only Rasmus Hojlund, Alejandro Garnacho, Kobbie Mainoo, and Andre Onana deemed untouchable.

The club's defensive woes are highlighted by the departure of Raphael Varane and injuries to Lisandro Martinez and Harry Maguire. With limited European football likely, United must act swiftly to secure targets before Euro 2024 begins on June 14.
