Man Utd Identify Dream Targets: Osimhen, Tchouameni, Lewandowski

Manchester United have reportedly started making progress on signing two dream summer targets as manager Michael Carrick looks to strengthen his attack and midfield.

Midfield Reinforcements

While Ederson is set to arrive from Atalanta for around £35 million as Casemiro's replacement, with a medical said to have taken place, Carrick wants to add another versatile profile to his squad.

Real Madrid's Aurelien Tchouameni is a long-term target in midfield, and the player's future in Spain is under question. Tchouameni was involved in an altercation with Real Madrid teammate Federico Valverde before the end of last season, which could open the door to his exit.

TEAMtalk reports that Tchouameni is viewed internally at United as a player capable of anchoring the midfield for years to come, due to his tactical intelligence, physical presence, and versatility.

Reports in Spain go further and claim United have previously met with Tchouameni's agents, while AS adds that new Los Blancos head coach Jose Mourinho is open to selling the player to raise funds.

Striker Targets

The striker target that owners INEOS and manager Carrick have in mind for United is another long-admired player: Victor Osimhen.

Carrick was not entirely convinced by his forward line last season, and with the likes of Joshua Zirkzee available to buy, CaughtOffside reports that United are ready to make a move for Osimhen.

Also of interest are Robert Lewandowski, Jean-Philippe Mateta, Dusan Vlahovic, and Bournemouth's Eli Junior Kroupi.

Galatasaray have slapped a €150 million (£130 million) asking price on their star man, while 37-year-old Lewandowski would be available on a free transfer following the expiry of his Barcelona contract.

Vlahovic has been told he can leave Juventus, but is said to be on astonishingly high wages in Italy, while Mateta is ready to depart Crystal Palace after seeing a January move to AC Milan collapse.

Junior Kroupi is not for sale, and Arsenal would provide significant competition if Bournemouth change their stance.
