Manchester United's preparations for the 2026/27 season continue under manager Michael Carrick. The team faces Atletico Madrid in their third pre-season friendly on Saturday. So far, the club has completed deals for goalkeepers Karl Darlow and Kit Margetson, midfielders Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans, and forward Tynan Thompson. Carrick hopes to add more new faces before the season opener against newly-promoted Hull City on August 22. The club is targeting a third midfielder, with Manu Kone and Aurelien Tchouameni linked.
