Liverpool transfer round-up: Jones and Ndiaye latest

Inter Milan are set to make another attempt to sign Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones, while reports suggest Liverpool's interest in Everton winger Iliman Ndiaye is genuine, according to the latest transfer round-up from the Liverpool Echo.

Inter Milan to renew Curtis Jones pursuit

Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Inter "definitely will try again" for Jones, with a new bid not expected until the exit of Davide Frattesi is confirmed. Inter have had two previous approaches rejected this summer and have yet to meet Liverpool's reported €40m (£34.2m) valuation for the 25-year-old, who has one year left on his contract.

Romano said on his YouTube channel: "Don't forget that Inter keep thinking about Curtis Jones. Curtis Jones is another target for Inter. They consider him as a priority in midfield and, for sure, there is going to be movement around him as well."

Inter's pursuit has been complicated by their need for a right-wingback, but they have now agreed a deal for Tottenham's Djed Spence for €31.5m (£26.9m). La Gazzetta dello Sport report that "substantial progress has been made" on a loan deal for Frattesi to Lazio, which could free up funds for a Jones move.

Liverpool's Ndiaye interest 'genuine'

CaughtOffside's Mark Brus has claimed that Liverpool are one of three clubs who "could now get involved" for Ndiaye, with the Reds said to have "engage[d] in direct talks with those around Ndiaye". The 26-year-old Everton winger rejected a move to Al Hilal, with Romano reporting he "wants to stay in the Premier League".

Everton are said to have "no plans to sell" Ndiaye and would demand in excess of £100m for him, according to TEAMtalk. Arsenal and Manchester United are also linked, though United may be put off by the £75m asking price.

The report suggests Liverpool's interest could be aimed at pressuring PSG to lower their asking price for Bradley Barcola, with Brus speculating that "it could be that [Liverpool's] interest is slightly more geared towards putting pressure on PSG to lower their asking price for a player [Barcola] they know wants to leave."

Other transfer rumours

Juventus are reportedly interested in Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker, with Sportmediaset claiming he is a target for next summer. Galatasaray are said to be monitoring Alexis Mac Allister, though The Athletic recently reported he is "not likely to move" this summer.

Liverpool are also said to be in "advanced talks" to sign Hungarian prospect Patrik Farkas, according to Anfield Watch's Bence Bocsak.
