Arsenal enter Barcola race
According to reports, Arsenal have turned their attention to Barcola after missing out on Vinicius Jr, who signed a contract extension with Real Madrid. The Gunners have already signed Christos Tzolis as a replacement for Leandro Trossard but are seeking more competition on the left wing.
The Independent reports that Atletico Madrid's Julian Alvarez and Everton's Iliman Ndiaye are also being monitored by Arsenal, but Alvarez's club is reluctant to sell. This could push Arsenal closer to Barcola, which is unwelcome news for Liverpool.
Liverpool have reportedly agreed personal terms with Barcola and are negotiating a fee with PSG. The French club initially demanded £145 million, but a figure of £109 million has since been mentioned.
Dressing room view on Konsa
Aston Villa players are reportedly 'increasingly concerned' that Ezri Konsa will leave the club this summer, according to the Daily Mail. Liverpool have been linked with the defender, who can play at both centre-back and right-back.
Liverpool have already signed Jeremy Jacquet this summer but are still looking to strengthen their defence, especially after Joe Gomez's injury setback. Jacquet and Giovanni Leoni are also recovering from injuries.
Villa's £60 million valuation could be a sticking point, especially given Konsa will turn 29 in October and has less than two years left on his contract. Nevertheless, his versatility makes him an attractive option for Liverpool.
