Liverpool's pursuit of Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola has been handed a boost after PSG struck a deal to sign Ajax's Mika Godts for £47m, according to reports. The Reds are also close to selling academy striker Vincent Joseph to Arsenal, while Rio Ngumoha is staying put despite links to Bayern Munich.
Barcola's PSG exit nears
PSG have reportedly agreed a £47m deal for Ajax's Mika Godts, with the French club also set to sign Ferran Torres from Barcelona for £42m. These arrivals are expected to pave the way for Barcola's departure, with Liverpool keen to sign the Frenchman.
PSG want £130m for Barcola, but talkSPORT report that this has been lowered to £125m. This would equal the Premier League record Liverpool paid Newcastle for Alexander Isak last summer. PSG boss Luis Enrique hinted at outgoings, saying: "When a player doesn't want to come here, or doesn't have a smile on their face about being here, it is better to find another solution."
Ngumoha stays, Joseph exits
Despite interest from Bayern Munich, Rio Ngumoha is staying at Liverpool, according to Fabrizio Romano. The 17-year-old is considered untouchable even if two new attackers arrive.
In contrast, academy striker Vincent Joseph is set to join Arsenal, with an agreement in place after he did not sign scholarship terms with Liverpool. The 16-year-old has scored eight times for England's Under-16s and could go to a tribunal if a fee isn't agreed.
Other transfer developments
Liverpool have agreed a loan deal for Calum Scanlon to rejoin Cardiff City for the 2026/27 season. James McConnell is close to joining Preston North End on loan, and Keyrol Figueroa has attracted interest from Barnsley, Salford City, and Shrewsbury Town.
Cody Gakpo reportedly wants to move to Tottenham, with personal terms agreed, according to Voetbal International. Curtis Jones remains a target for Inter Milan, with Liverpool's asking price now £30m. The Reds have also filled all 17 non-homegrown spots, meaning sales are needed for any further arrivals.
