Liverpool, Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea transfer news

Premier League clubs are accelerating their transfer activity with three weeks left in the summer window. Liverpool have secured a loan deal for Ronald Araujo, Manchester United confirmed a goalkeeper exit, Arsenal are reportedly revisiting an £85m target, and Chelsea are closing in on their 11th signing.

Liverpool agree loan for Araujo

Liverpool have agreed a loan move for Barcelona captain Ronald Araujo. The 27-year-old Uruguayan international will join Andoni Iraola's squad, which has been hit by injuries. The deal includes a £47m option to make the move permanent if Araujo impresses, with no obligation to buy.

Araujo brings experience to Liverpool's backline despite recent fitness concerns. He becomes the club's second arrival this window after Victor Munoz, with French defender Jeremy Jacquet having officially signed in January.

Man Utd confirm Vitek exit

Manchester United have confirmed goalkeeper Radek Vitek has joined Middlesbrough on a permanent deal worth up to £14m. The transfer includes a buy-back clause, matching rights, and a sell-on clause of up to 35 per cent.

Vitek, who joined United's academy in 2020 from Czech club Sigma Olomouc, had fallen down the pecking order after Senne Lammens became first-choice goalkeeper and Karl Darlow was signed as No. 2. Vitek had three previous loan spells away from Old Trafford.

Arsenal revive Yildiz interest

Arsenal are reportedly weighing up a new move for Juventus winger Kenan Yildiz, according to The Times. The Premier League champions had targeted Real Madrid's Vinicius Junior, but the Brazilian has extended his contract with Los Blancos.

Yildiz, valued at around £85m, has emerged as a contender for Arsenal's left-hand side after an initial enquiry in June failed. Juventus are believed to have rebuffed Arsenal, saying Yildiz is not for sale, with the 21-year-old under contract until 2030. Chelsea and United also showed interest last season.

Chelsea close on 11th signing

Chelsea are set to make their 11th signing of the summer with the arrival of Pep Chavarria from Rayo Vallecano. The Blues have been in talks since late June for the 28-year-old left-back, who has a £42.5m release clause.

A compromise has been struck, with Chelsea paying an initial £16.2m. A medical is reportedly set for the defender, who will compete with Jorrel Hato for the left-back spot after Marc Cucurella left for Real Madrid. Chavarria will follow deals for Marco Palestra, Morgan Rogers, Maxence Lacroix, Danny Welbeck, Jordan Henderson, Harrison Bettoni, Valentin Barco, Geovany Quenda, Emmanuel Emegha, and Dastan Satpayev.
