Liverpool Given Thuram Transfer Deadline Amid Man United Battle

Liverpool have been given a firm timeframe if they wish to secure the services of Juventus midfielder Khephren Thuram. Manchester United have also been linked with a move for the France international as the summer transfer window progresses.

Liverpool's Transfer Activity

Liverpool have made their first signing of the summer after Victor Munoz completed a permanent deal to join the Reds from Osasuna in a move worth £34.5 million. RB Leipzig star Yan Diomande also appears to be a player of interest to Liverpool, and it remains to be seen what other players the Reds could target before the transfer window closes.

Thuram Transfer Battle

According to Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport, Thuram has become a target for Liverpool, with Man United also reportedly monitoring the 25-year-old. Nottingham Forest represent another possible destination for the midfielder, while Saudi Pro League side Al Ahli have also shown interest.

The report suggests that Juventus have placed a valuation of between £34.7 million (€40m) and £39 million (£45m) on Thuram this summer as they attempt to generate funds before the club's financial year concludes. Consequently, Thuram is among the players cited in the report as potentially being made available for transfer this summer, as Juventus look to generate up to €13 million (£11.3 million) in revenue before June 30, the closing date of the 2025/26 financial year.

Other Potential Juventus Departures

Thuram is not the sole player Juventus are reportedly weighing up selling this summer, with Andrea Cambiaso and Gleison Bremer also named as potential departures, alongside Michele Di Gregorio, Jonathan David, Federico Gatti, Juan Cabal and Fabio Miretti.

Upcoming Premier League Season

Liverpool won't have long to wait before the Premier League campaign kicks off, with their complete fixture list confirmed on Friday. Andoni Iraola and Co. do not have to wait long before they return to Premier League action next season, where they will face Newcastle United on the opening day at St James' Park on August 23.
