Bournemouth forward Eli Junior Kroupi reportedly "dreams" of joining European champions Paris Saint-Germain, amid strong links with Arsenal and other top clubs. The 19-year-old has enjoyed a breakthrough season on the South Coast, netting 13 Premier League goals and attracting significant interest ahead of the summer transfer window.
Bournemouth's Remarkable Season
The Cherries ended the campaign with an astonishing 18-match unbeaten run, securing European football for the first time in their history. Departing manager Andoni Iraola guided the club to a sixth-place finish in the Premier League, earning a Europa League berth. Bournemouth finished just three points behind fifth-placed Liverpool, who secured Champions League qualification.
Kroupi's Impact and Interest
Kroupi arrived at Bournemouth in January last year and has quickly established himself as one of the club's most prized assets. His performances have sparked speculation that Arsenal could make a move, with Mikel Arteta prioritising attacking reinforcements following the Gunners' Champions League final defeat.
French outlet Footmercato now claims that Kroupi would be delighted at the prospect of joining PSG. Bournemouth's asking price is reportedly around £86 million, with Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Chelsea, and Manchester City also monitoring the situation.
Arteta's Summer Priorities
Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta is said to have identified a left winger, striker, right-back, and a new midfielder as key positions to strengthen this summer. Kroupi fits the profile of a versatile forward who can operate on the wing or through the middle.
Iraola has given Kroupi a glowing recommendation. Speaking in April, he said: "I think Junior has been a big challenge for me this season, one of the biggest challenges because we noticed straightaway that he has special things. His finishing is top for me. But we had to work a lot with him and, especially, he has had to do a lot of work that he wasn't used to to win his minutes. He has become a much better player for me."
The summer transfer window opens on June 15 and closes on September 1, three weeks into the Premier League season.
