Manchester City fans are divided over the future of Jack Grealish, with a recent poll showing a near-even split on whether the winger should stay or go. As the Community Shield against Arsenal approaches, the 30-year-old's role under new boss Enzo Maresca remains uncertain.
Loan Spell and Injury
Grealish spent last season on loan at Everton after falling down the pecking order under Pep Guardiola. He impressed at the Hill Dickinson Stadium but his campaign was cut short by injury.
Pre-Season Return
He returned to Manchester and joined City's pre-season training under Maresca, with whom he shares a close relationship. However, Grealish was left out of the squad for the tour of Asia as he is still not fully fit.
Fan Poll Results
A Manchester Evening News poll of more than 1,200 fans found that 49% believe Grealish should be part of City's plans this season, while 46% think it's time for him to leave. Five percent were unsure.
It remains to be seen whether Maresca will integrate Grealish back into the squad or if another move away is on the cards for the former Aston Villa man.
