Michael Carrick has informed four members of his Manchester United squad that they are surplus to requirements ahead of the new season. The players are goalkeeper Radek Vítek, left-back Harry Amass, midfielder Dan Gore and midfielder Toby Collyer.

Carrick, who became United's permanent head coach at the end of last season, has already spent around £80m on midfielders Andrey Santos from Chelsea and Youri Tielemans from Aston Villa. He is expected to sign at least one more midfielder and a defender, but attention has now turned to outgoings.
According to reports in the Daily Mail, Carrick has told the four players to find new clubs as they will not be needed this season.
Harry Amass spent half of last season on loan at Norwich and impressed in pre-season fixtures against Wrexham and Rosenborg, playing 45 minutes each. Despite emerging as a fan favourite, the club is willing to let him leave on loan or permanently.
Dan Gore, 21, made 34 league appearances on loan at Rotherham last season but has been told he will not feature in Carrick's first team this campaign, with Under-21s football his best option for minutes.
Toby Collyer, 22, received the same message despite helping Hull City win promotion last season.
Goalkeeper Requests Move
Czech goalkeeper Radek Vítek had already requested to leave the club in an interview after the Wrexham friendly, in which he played 45 minutes. Speaking at full-time, he told reporters: At the moment I am still here, but we will see, I hope (I can leave). I hope there will be some interest. You will know when things are more concrete.
He added: I am ready to go for both (a loan or permanent sale), to be fair. Depends what the club wants, depends on the options, we'll see.
Vitek has been made available for sale or a loan with an obligation to buy. His chances of a first-team role were hindered earlier in the window by the signing of Karl Darlow and Tom Heaton's decision to sign a new contract.
