Manu Kone agrees personal terms
Corriere dello Sport reports that Roma's Manu Kone has agreed personal terms to join United. A transfer fee is yet to be settled. United are in talks with Roma and plan to offer around £42.7 million.
Real Madrid withdrew after a £34.1m bid was rejected. Al-Ahli and Chelsea are also interested, and Kone's valuation could rise to £51.2m. The 25-year-old French midfielder started at Toulouse and Borussia Mönchengladbach, earning 19 caps.
Carlos Baleba requests move
Carlos Baleba is determined to secure a transfer to United after a £100m valuation blocked a move last summer. Fabrizio Romano says his representatives have contacted United, with the player keen to work under Michael Carrick.
Brighton's £100m demands ended the previous pursuit. However, Baleba's price has now dropped to around £70m, making him a realistic target. The 22-year-old Cameroonian midfielder has scored three goals in 92 games for Brighton.
