Arsenal go into the final day of the January transfer window as Premier League leaders, yet have so far avoided spending any money on new signings. Mikel Arteta's side secured a 4-0 win at Leeds United on Saturday, their 16th league victory of the season, but the only departures have been loan moves for young players such as Ethan Nwaneri.
According to German outlet BILD, the Gunners could now be drawn into a costly transfer fight. They are said to be one of several clubs monitoring RB Leipzig forward Yan Diomande, with Liverpool, Manchester United and Bayern Munich also credited with an interest. Leipzig are reportedly prepared to demand upwards of £86m for the Ivorian, a fee that Bayern are thought to consider excessive.
Diomande, who joined Leipzig from Leganes in 2025, has attracted attention due to his pace and is regarded as one of Europe's most promising young attackers. A January move is considered unlikely, with a summer transfer seen as the more probable outcome.
Meanwhile, young forward Osman Kamara has confirmed his departure from Arsenal after a decade at the club. The Sierra Leone youth international, who played at Sunday League level with Sol Campbell, announced on social media: "After 10 years at Arsenal, it's time to take the next step in my career. I am grateful towards every staff member, coach and the club that nurtured me. Excited for what's to come!"
Kamara signed his first professional deal with Arsenal in 2024 and scored in double figures for the academy during the 2023/24 campaign. He had trained with the first team in recent seasons, but has now left the Emirates to continue his career elsewhere.
