McGregor vs Holloway 2: A rematch 13 years in the making
McGregor faces Max Holloway in a welterweight bout, 13 years after their first meeting at featherweight on the prelims of UFC Fight Night: Shogun vs Sonnen. That night, a young McGregor won by decision in just his second UFC outing. Now, the former featherweight and lightweight champion returns after a five-year absence, his last fight being a first-round leg break loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in August 2021. McGregor, who turns 38 next week, was originally scheduled to fight Michael Chandler at UFC 303 but withdrew due to a toe injury.
Holloway, a former featherweight champion, steps up to welterweight for the first time. He lost the ceremonial 'BMF' title to Charles Oliveira at UFC 326 in March, after knocking out Justin Gaethje in his previous fight. The 34-year-old has also beaten Poirier and lost a featherweight title bid to Ilia Topuria.
Co-main event: Paddy Pimblett vs Benoit Saint Denis
Liverpool's Paddy Pimblett looks to rebound from his first UFC defeat, a loss to Justin Gaethje at UFC 324 in January. He faces France's Benoit Saint Denis, the No. 5-ranked lightweight contender, who is on a four-fight win streak with knockouts over Dan Hooker and Beneil Dariush.
