Tyson Fury continues his comeback as he faces Mariusz Wach in Thailand on Friday, in a bout that will not be broadcast live on television. The former world heavyweight champion fights at the Max Muay Thai Stadium in front of just 1,500 spectators, with proceeds going to charity.
Fury's Return After Usyk Defeats
This is only Fury's second fight since ending a 15-month retirement following consecutive losses to Oleksandr Usyk. In April, he outpointed Arslanbek Makhmudov at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Now he faces Polish veteran Mariusz Wach, 46, who once challenged Wladimir Klitschko for a world title but has lost seven of his last 10 fights since 2020, including defeats to Moses Itauma, Frazer Clarke, Makhmudov, and Fury's cousin Hughie Fury.
Fight Scheduled Before Joshua Bout
Fury has scheduled the fight a day before Anthony Joshua meets Kristian Prenga in Riyadh. Joshua's bout is his first since knocking out Jake Paul in December, after he survived a serious car accident in Nigeria that killed two of his long-time friends and team members, Sina Ghami and Latif 'Latz' Ayodele. There is hope that comfortable wins for both Fury and Joshua within 24 hours could lead to a long-awaited all-British showdown later in 2026, though confirmation may take longer.
No Live TV Broadcast
Announced with less than a month's notice, the Fury vs Wach fight is not scheduled to be televised live anywhere in the world. Fury confirmed quickly after the announcement that there was no broadcaster. Instead, footage from the bout will be shown exclusively in series three of the Netflix reality show 'At Home With the Furys'. No release date for the third series has been announced yet, but an update is expected soon.
