Emma Raducanu has declared that winning Wimbledon is a matter of "when" rather than "if", as she targets a second Grand Slam title at her home tournament.
The 21-year-old, currently ranked world No. 205, made her breakthrough at Wimbledon in 2021 as a wildcard, reaching the second week while ranked outside the top 300. She went on to win the US Open as a qualifier later that year.
In an interview with Grazia, Raducanu said: "I feel good. I'm playing well and I'm training really hard, I'm doing a lot of good things and I know it's going to happen." She added: "If not this Wimbledon, the next Wimbledon. I fully back myself and trust myself. It's just a matter of when really. I've been doing all the right things so I'm just looking forward to playing in front of a home crowd."
Raducanu has made just one other appearance at the All England Club since her debut, reaching the second round in 2022 before losing to Caroline Garcia. The former world No. 10 missed the entire grass-court swing last year after undergoing surgery on both wrists and one ankle.
After missing out 12 months ago, Raducanu is prioritising the British summer. She withdrew from the WTA 500 in Strasbourg and French Open qualifying to focus on a training block for grass, and is set to compete in Nottingham and Eastbourne before returning to SW19.
