Newcastle United insiders have strongly denied reports of a fallout between manager Eddie Howe and left-back Lewis Hall. Chronicle Live understands that Hall has not submitted a transfer request and that the pair parted ways for the summer on amicable terms, contrary to fresh speculation.
Howe and Hall Relationship Intact
Sources indicate that Howe's relationship with the 21-year-old remains very good, with no dispute occurring behind closed doors. Hall was omitted from the England squad by manager Thomas Tuchel, with Djed Spence, Tino Livramento, and Nico O'Reilly all preferred.
Transfer Rumours Denied
Reports had suggested Hall was seeking a move away after missing out on international duty. However, Newcastle have firmly refuted any claims of a transfer request. Hall is under contract at St James' Park and the club expects him to remain.
Tuchel Explains Hall Omission
Tuchel justified his decision, praising Spence's performances and versatility. "He was excellent in every match he played for us," Tuchel said of Spence. "He loves defending, he's the fastest player in our squad, and he loves defending one-on-ones. That's what makes him a special full-back."
Howe expressed sympathy for Hall's disappointment, stating: "My reaction was feeling for Lewis. To support him and talk to him and help him really. He is an outstanding player, so young, and he's got so much of his career ahead of him."
Newcastle will not be competing in Europe next season, but the club remains confident Hall will stay and continue his development under Howe.
