Emma Raducanu Shows Off New Hairstyle in London

Emma Raducanu's Fresh Start with New London Look

British tennis number one Emma Raducanu has unveiled a striking new hairstyle as she makes the most of her off-season break in London. The 23-year-old athlete, who ended her competitive season early due to back pain, decided to experiment with a fresh crop during her downtime in the capital.

Strategic Withdrawal for Pre-Season Preparation

Raducanu cut short her tennis season after struggling with back issues during the Asian swing this autumn, culminating in a three-set defeat against Lin Zhu at the Ningbo Open. Demonstrating her commitment to long-term planning, the tennis star has also withdrawn from planned exhibition events next month, including matches in Miami against close friend Amanda Anisimova and another pairing with US Open mixed doubles partner Carlos Alcaraz.

This decision reflects Raducanu's determination not to disrupt her carefully planned pre-season training with coach Francisco Roig. The pair are preparing to work together for the first time since his summer appointment, focusing specifically on preparation for the upcoming Australian Open.

London Lifestyle and Salon Experience

Before intensive training begins, Raducanu has been enjoying quality time in her home city. Her transformation was handled by hairdresser Nicola Noviello, a stylist at the prestigious Belgravia salon Hershesons. Noviello shared images of the makeover on social media, describing the collaboration as 'Italian hands' meeting 'British elegance'.

Raducanu appears delighted with the results, commenting 'You're the best best' with two white heart emojis beneath the posted images. During her salon visit, she was spotted reading Blackstone CEO Stephen A Schwarzman's book 'What It Takes: Lessons in the Pursuit of Excellence'.

Embracing London's Social Scene

The British number one's off-season activities have extended beyond hair styling. She celebrated her birthday at Cambio de Tercio, a favourite restaurant among tennis professionals in South Kensington, and attended the Autumn Internationals match at Twickenham where England triumphed over New Zealand 33-19.

Raducanu's social engagements have sparked interest, particularly her appearance with new companion Jack Coman, who featured in her Instagram posts from the rugby match. She was also photographed alongside Bridgerton star Simone Ashley and met England captain Maro Itoje in the stands, having previously visited the England camp during their training preparations.

As Raducanu enjoys her well-earned break, her focus remains firmly on the future, with the Australian Open representing the next significant milestone in her professional comeback.
