Carlos Alcaraz has moved to dispel rumours that he is in a relationship with American model Brooks Nader, telling those close to him that he is single. The world No. 1 tennis star was linked to Nader after his US Open victory earlier this month.
Speculation intensified when Brooks's sister, Grace Ann Nader, appeared to confirm the relationship during New York Fashion Week, telling E! News: "The rumours are true. Dating is such a loose term. But I do know he's the man of the hour."
However, Spanish journalist Alberto Guzman has now reported that Alcaraz has clarified his relationship status. "They're not dating, it's not an official relationship," Guzman said on the No Somos Nadie TV show. "He confirmed to those close to him that he is single and has no intention of having any serious relationships." Guzman suggested that Grace Ann may not be well informed.
Neither Alcaraz nor Brooks have publicly addressed the rumours. Brooks previously shut down speculation that she was dating Jannik Sinner, Alcaraz's rival, after her sister hinted at a romance with a tennis star whose name "rhymes with winner." Brooks appeared on Jimmy Kimmel's show and denied any relationship with Sinner.
Brooks and Grace Ann star in a new reality series, Love Thy Nader, released in late August. Alcaraz is currently enjoying a week off at home in Murcia before travelling to San Francisco for the Laver Cup.
