Romelu Lukaku has described Everton winger Iliman Ndiaye as 'technically one of the best in one-on-one situations', heaping praise on the Senegal international ahead of Belgium's World Cup last-32 tie.
Lukaku's High Praise for Ndiaye
Speaking to Belgian outlet De Standaard, Lukaku singled out Ndiaye as a major threat. 'Iliman Ndiaye is gifted and technically one of the best in one-on-one situations,' he said, according to Sport Witness. The former Everton striker also mentioned other Senegal stars, including Ismaïla Sarr, Sadio Mané, Nicolas Jackson, and his former Everton teammate Idrissa Gueye.
Belgium vs Senegal Preview
Lukaku, 33, remains Everton's record Premier League goalscorer with 87 goals across four seasons. He will face Senegal fresh from their 5-0 thrashing of Iraq, a match where Ndiaye came off the bench to score and assist. The striker warned his side must not underestimate Senegal, highlighting Kalidou Koulibaly as the defensive leader.
Lukaku's Future Uncertain
An injury-hit season has cast doubt on Lukaku's future, with some outlets suggesting a potential return to Everton. However, the striker is focused on the World Cup, where Belgium face Senegal on Wednesday.
