Hearts secured a 3-1 victory over St Mirren in a training match at the Pinatar Arena in Spain on Wednesday night, giving new manager Wouter Vrancken a winning start. The Belgian boss fielded several new signings in the friendly against their Scottish Premiership rivals.
Goals Secure Victory
Goals from Sander Kartum, Rogers Mato, and James Wilson were enough to overcome St Mirren, who scored through young Thomas Falconer. The match provided valuable minutes for both sides as they prepare for the upcoming season.
New Signings Impress
Hearts gave debuts to Sabri Guendouz and MJ Kamson-Kamara, who started the game, while Josh McPake, Tom Renaud, and Calvin Miller came off the bench. St Mirren boss Craig McLeish also used the opportunity to integrate new players, with goalkeeper Jacob Chapman, Ryan Carr, and Samuel Ramos starting. Chris Mochrie featured later, and trialists were given game time.
The win marks a positive start for Vrancken, who took over the reins at Tynecastle. The Jambos will look to build on this performance as their pre-season campaign continues.
