Victoria Rose, the ex-wife of former England rugby international Danny Cipriani, has listed numerous match-worn shirts from his career for sale on the online marketplace Vinted, with prices reaching hundreds of pounds. The 44-year-old model-turned-neuroscience practitioner has reportedly sold around 40 items, constituting half of her current listings on the platform.
Personal Rugby Archive Up for Grabs
In her sales descriptions, Victoria describes the collection as a "personal kit archive" of Cipriani, accumulated over his professional career. The items include match-issued, tour, and squad-worn rugby gear from his time with England, Sale Sharks, and other international fixtures. Many pieces are personalised, signed, or linked to specific games and milestones.
"These are genuine player items gathered over years at the top level of the sport, now being released piece by piece for collectors and fans," she wrote, emphasising the authenticity of the designer wear. Among the listings are signed rugby shirts priced at £280 and other memorabilia from his playing days.
Divorce and Personal Struggles
The sales come against the backdrop of Victoria's divorce from Cipriani, which she filed for in August 2024, nine months after their separation. She has publicly claimed that the 38-year-old rugby star spent approximately £600 per month on drugs during their marriage.
In a previous interview, Victoria expressed feeling blindsided when Cipriani announced their split on Instagram without prior discussion. "I do not know to this day why Danny left. There was no row, no red flags. I've still got his toothbrush, his clothes, underwear - he only took a few jogging bottoms," she told The Sun.
She recounted an incident where Cipriani abruptly stood up while they were watching television and asked, "If I go now can I come back?" before leaving. Victoria attributed his behaviour to drug use and mental health issues, stating she tried to accommodate him during their relationship.
Cipriani's Substance Admissions
Danny Cipriani has previously admitted to using cocaine, a crystallised toad psychedelic, and consuming large quantities of magic mushrooms. He reportedly became convinced that Victoria was attempting to kill him during one psychedelic episode.
Days after walking out of their shared home, Cipriani publicly announced their separation on Instagram, leaving Victoria to discover the news alongside the general public. She later posted on social media, expressing her pain at being excluded from the decision-making process.
"Danny publicly announced our split without any prior notice or discussion with me. I was made aware of the situation at the same time as the public, and this has caused me a great deal of pain," she wrote at the time.
Relationship Timeline
The couple first met in 2019, became engaged by January 2021, and married in a private ceremony on April 27, 2022. Cipriani enthusiastically shared the news on Instagram, posting: "Married my best friend today!"
Victoria has since apologised for any emotional reactions to their separation, explaining she is still processing the difficult circumstances. "I really don't want to be caught up in the fanfare. Sorry for any hurt I have caused," she concluded in one statement.
The sale of Cipriani's rugby memorabilia represents both a commercial venture and a symbolic clearing of personal items following their divorce, with collectors and fans now able to acquire pieces of rugby history through Victoria's Vinted listings.
