Team GB Men's Curling Final: Time, Channel, and How to Watch Canada Clash

Team GB's men have secured their place in the curling final at the Milano-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, setting up a high-stakes showdown against Canada. This follows a dramatic journey through the tournament, marked by a cheating controversy and resilient performances.

Road to the Final

Great Britain's men suffered a 9-5 defeat to Canada on Tuesday evening, amidst a viral cheating row between Canada and Sweden that erupted over the weekend. However, they bounced back impressively with a 9-2 victory over the USA on Wednesday afternoon, sealing the win after just six ends to keep their medal hopes alive.

Bruce Mouat's rink needed external results to clinch a top-four spot, relying on either Norway or Italy to lose their final matches on Thursday morning. Italy fell 9-5 to unbeaten Switzerland, while Norway defeated already-qualified Canada, securing the final qualifying position just above GB.

In the semi-finals, Britain triumphed over Switzerland with an 8-5 win, guaranteeing at least a silver medal—a repeat of their achievement from Beijing four years ago.

Women's Team Narrowly Miss Out

In contrast, Team GB's women were narrowly edged out of the top four. After a remarkable 8-7 victory against the USA on Wednesday morning, followed by a 9-3 thrashing of Japan in the evening and a 7-4 win over Italy on Thursday, their progression depended on Switzerland beating the US. However, the Americans secured a dramatic 7-6 victory in an extra end, ending Britain's campaign at the group stage.
