Clarkson slams Sky F1 coverage over Kim Kardashian focus

Jeremy Clarkson has criticised Sky Sports' Formula 1 coverage after travelling to the United States for the latest leg of the season, saying he is not interested in Kim Kardashian's presence at races.

Clarkson, 66, appeared on Sky's coverage and was asked for his thoughts on Kardashian's recent appearance. Kardashian has become a semi-regular figure at races after entering a relationship with former world champion Lewis Hamilton. She was at the centre of controversy earlier this year after snubbing Martin Brundle during his grid walk, before the pair made up earlier this month.

Clarkson's Frustration

"I wasn't watching that, because I'm sort of not interested in Kim Kardashian if I'm honest," Clarkson said over the weekend when discussing Hamilton's partner.

"Why would I be interested in Kim Kardashian? I'm here to watch Formula 1, not Kim Kardashian. All the cameras go 'oooh, Kim Kardashian'. Why do I care? Why would I care or less that Kim Kardashian is here? I don't know why you're filming me, I don't know anything about Formula 1, I'm just a fan.

"I sit and watch it on television, I listen to you guys and I learn everything I know about Formula 1 by listening to you three. I don't know anything more than anybody watching at home, really."

Kardashian and Brundle Reunite

All cameras were on Kardashian as she reunited with Brundle. "Did I not know the rules? Did we get off on the wrong foot," Kardashian, who was wearing a traditional qipao style dress, joked as she was approached by Brundle.

"No, it's absolutely fine, lovely to see you again at a Grand Prix. What do you think of our crazy world of F1," he responded. Kardashian said: "I think it [F1] is amazing and fun and wild, and something I've never seen before. It's amazing.

"He [Lewis Hamilton] is [in great form]. I'm just praying for the best tonight. Yes, [Lewis is] very confident, and so am I. Just got to pray for the best."
