Chase DeMoor, the reigning Misfits heavyweight champion, has publicly declared his ambition to face Tommy Fury in a summer showdown. This move comes after Andrew Tate opted not to exercise his rematch clause, following DeMoor's victory over him last December.
From Tate to Fury: A New Challenge Emerges
In an exclusive interview, DeMoor revealed his long-standing desire to fight Tommy Fury, the brother of former heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury. "That’s the fight that I’ve been reaching for for a couple years," DeMoor stated. He dismissed the idea of facing Roman Fury, another brother, noting, "there’s no point in fighting him anymore."
Parallels and Predictions
DeMoor drew comparisons between himself and Tommy Fury, highlighting their shared backgrounds. "Tommy has beat a CEO in KSI, I’ve beat a CEO in Andrew Tate and we both come from reality TV," he explained. With Fury scheduled to fight in Dubai soon, DeMoor is positioning himself to challenge the winner, confidently predicting, "In my opinion I think that Tommy should win that. You know it should be a very easy win for him."
He added, "So the winner of that fight I will fight at the end of the summer and I’m rooting for Tommy in this one."
Ready for Any Arena
Demonstrating his willingness to compete under any conditions, DeMoor asserted, "I’ll fight him in his backyard. I’ll go out there in the mud, just give me some gloves, I don’t care who’s out there and we can get it on." He anticipates potential challenges, such as weight clauses, similar to those in his previous title defences against Natan Marcon and Andrew Tate.
"I imagine Tommy would be no different, he’s probably going to want to fight around 200lb, he’s probably going to have a rehydration clause in there, it’s probably going to be in Manchester, it’s probably going to be 1,000 people there chanting his name," DeMoor speculated.
Unfazed by Hostile Crowds
Reflecting on his experience fighting Tate in Dubai, where he faced a hostile crowd, DeMoor remained undeterred. "Just like I did the ring walk with Andrew Tate and I had 100,000 people booing me and throwing s*** at me, I started cheering with them," he recalled. "You know when they were doing the announcements, you know I was 'Top G, Top G,' you know I’ll be there cheering with them because at the end of the day when that bell goes off I’m going to be throwing these hands, you know?"
He concluded with a bold promise: "And I’m going to be moving and you know it’s going to be the better man walking out of that ring that night."
This potential bout adds to the growing intrigue in the crossover boxing scene, blending elements of reality TV, social media influence, and athletic competition. DeMoor's call-out sets the stage for what could be a highly anticipated event in the summer boxing calendar.
