Strictly Come Dancing fans have voiced concerns that this year's final could be one of the most predictable yet, following the injury announcement of contestant La Voix. The Ru Paul's Drag Race star will miss this weekend's Blackpool performances due to an injury, leaving viewers worried that only two couples will compete for the glitterball trophy.
Taking to social media, one fan wrote: 'The way we could end up with one of the most predictable finals ever if La Voix doesn't return next week. I worry we may only get a Lewis Vs Amber final.' Others echoed the sentiment, with one adding: 'Two in the final feels fixed. I find Amber annoying and I'm only tolerating Lewis because of Katya.' La Voix announced her withdrawal on Instagram, expressing 'immense sadness' at not being able to perform in the iconic ballroom. She said: 'Due to an injury, I’ve been advised that I’m unable to perform... I am devastated not to be joining the rest of the cast on that famous dancefloor, but my focus now is on recovery.'
According to Strictly rules, La Voix will receive a bye into the following week. Some fans have suggested that the show should avoid a two-couple final by not eliminating anyone this week. As it stands, Lewis Cope and Amber Davies are tipped as the likely final two, but many hope La Voix will recover in time to keep the competition open.
