Leeds United boss Daniel Farke has confirmed Joe Rodon was forced off with a suspected hamstring injury during his side's draw with Brentford on Sunday.
The Wales international was withdrawn just after half an hour, pulling up after chasing down a ball in behind to clear for a throw. Rodon immediately appeared to feel his hamstring before sinking to the ground, and looked in some discomfort as he was assessed by medical staff.
He was eventually replaced by Nico Elvedi, and looked visibly upset as he trudged round the side of the pitch before having a brief chat with Farke.
Brentford take the lead
To make matters worse for Leeds, Brentford took the lead just a few minutes later, with Keane Lewis-Potter's cross stabbed home by Kevin Schade.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin would salvage a point for the hosts 11 minutes from time, but even after battling to a point, there will be some concerns for Farke.
Rodon's injury a headache for Farke
Rodon's injury will certainly cause something of a headache. Having boasted a near clean bill of health ahead of Sunday's game, with Gabriel Gudmundsson and Willy Gnonto both returning, Rodon's fresh issue is a new blow for the Whites.
Indeed, it could potentially leave Farke with just three fit senior centre-backs.
Transfer window deadline looms
The transfer window closes at 11pm on Tuesday, and despite signing Elvedi and Tarik Muharemovic, Farke may well be tempted to dip into the market for another centre-back option.
"Rodon got a hamstring injury," the Leeds boss said afterwards. "Very painful injury. Hopefully it's not too long. I'm happy with Elvedi. But it's a big blow if he is out for a while."
Pressed on his side's dealings in the market so far, he added: "Happy on the goalkeeper position. Outfield, the group is not too big. Senior centre-backs and wing-backs, we don't have the most. We will stay awake. One or two more additions would definitely be helpful. With the players I've got, I'm very happy."
