Newcastle United's new boss Matthias Jaissle stormed onto the pitch to protect Anthony Elanga after a horror challenge from Jose Gaya during the friendly against Valencia at the Mestalla.
The Spain international was shown a straight red card by referee Jose Martinez, and the challenge sparked a 25-man brawl in the so-called friendly.

In fairness to the Spanish referee, he took just three seconds to issue the red card and reduce the home side to 10 men.

Newcastle are now assessing what looked like a nasty injury to Elanga after he was carried off at the Mestalla.
