The moment of concern arrived just as Isak put the Reds ahead. The Swedish international, who had come on at half-time, powered a shot past Spurs goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario to break the deadlock. However, in the act of scoring, he was clattered by Tottenham defender Micky van de Ven.
Isak fell awkwardly and was immediately in visible distress. Despite his goal, his afternoon ended after just ten minutes on the pitch, as he required help from the medical staff to leave the field. He was replaced by Jeremie Frimpong as manager Arne Slot reshuffled his lineup.

Speaking after the match, Arne Slot expressed his immediate worries. He confirmed the club must await further medical assessment to understand the full extent of the problem but admitted the signs were not positive.
"It is never a good sign when a player cannot even try to continue after a collision," Slot stated, highlighting the severity of the incident. The injury adds to a growing list of fitness issues for Liverpool, with defender Conor Bradley also forced off during the match after attempting to play through a problem.
Positive Prognosis Amid the Concern
There was, however, a significant piece of positive news emerging on Saturday night. Initial fears of a catastrophic anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury were reportedly eased. According to The Athletic, the early prognosis points towards a lower-leg issue rather than a knee ligament tear.
Liverpool's victory was sealed by a towering header from Hugo Ekitike, with Tottenham's Richarlison scoring a consolation. The visitors finished the game with nine men after two red cards. Despite the numerical advantage, Slot was critical of his team's game management, noting they allowed Spurs too much possession late on.
