Liverpool Santa Dash 2026: date, time, fee and location

The BTR Liverpool Santa Dash is set to return for 2026, with the main 5K run scheduled for Sunday, December 6, starting at 9.30am from Canada Boulevard in Liverpool city centre, near the city's famous Three Graces. The Mini Dash 1K will start at 11am from Castle Street.

Event details and route

The fun run, open to all ages and abilities, sees participants take to the city streets dressed in Santa suits and raising money for good causes. There is no time limit for the 5K distance, and the event is not timed as it is not a competitive race.

The main 5K will take participants through Liverpool city centre, including James Street, Dale Street and Old Hall Street, before finishing outside Liverpool Town Hall.

Entry fees and suit options

The standard red suit entry fee is £28, and adult Santa suits are one size only. The standard blue suit entry fee is £30, also one size only, but the blue suits are now sold out, according to the BTR website at the time of publication.

Children aged three to eight red suits cost £20, while the same size in blue costs £22. Under 3s are free to enter but must still be registered and collect a race number in order to receive a medal.

The standard Mini Dash entry fee is £15, and child Santa suits are available in ages five to eight years and nine to 14 years, only in red. There is an additional small fee to pay when entering online. For participants wishing to join in a group of five or more, please email corporate@runforall.com. For groups larger than 10, there's even a festive discount available.

Charity partner and participation

Little Lights (formerly Zoe's Place) is the headline partner charity for this event. Zoe's Place was founded in Liverpool in 1995 as the first hospice in the UK specifically providing for the needs of babies and younger children. Their team of specialist nurses and healthcare assistants are supported by other healthcare professionals, offering respite care, therapies and bereavement care to babies and children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, and their families.

More than 11,000 people took part in the Liverpool Santa Dash last year, up 2,500 participants compared to 2024. The event also saw 1,000 blue Santas take part, the largest number since the event began in 2004. More information about the event can be found on the BTR Liverpool website.
