In a surprising twist, golfing sensation Matt Fitzpatrick found himself trading his clubs for football boots after Sheffield United owner Prince Abdullah bin Musa'ad orchestrated an impromptu trial for the US Open champion.
The 29-year-old, who grew up in Sheffield and is a lifelong Blades fan, was invited to showcase his skills at the club's training ground. Fitzpatrick, known for his precision on the golf course, admitted he was "absolutely terrible" during the session but relished the opportunity.
"It was a dream come true, even if I was rubbish," laughed Fitzpatrick, who still managed to impress with his dedication and enthusiasm. "Prince Abdullah set it all up as a bit of fun, and it was an incredible experience."
