England's starting lineup for their final group stage match against Panama has been leaked, with Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo and forward Marcus Rashford set to start. The match takes place on Saturday night in New Jersey.
England's Group Stage Progress
England have already secured their place in the knockout stages but know victory would guarantee top spot in Group L after a mixed start to the competition. They beat Croatia before being held to a frustrating goalless draw by Ghana.
According to Sky Sports, Mainoo is poised to come into the starting XI, with Declan Rice potentially being rested as he continues to be carefully managed after a hamstring issue. Rice has trained but Tuchel has admitted he has been carrying a knock during the tournament.
Midfield and Attack Changes
Mainoo is expected to partner Elliot Anderson in midfield, while Jude Bellingham retains his place in the advanced midfield role behind captain Harry Kane. Elsewhere, Marcus Rashford is tipped to replace Anthony Gordon on the left wing after Gordon endured a difficult evening against Ghana. On the opposite flank, Noni Madueke is expected to keep his place despite Bukayo Saka returning to fitness.
Defensive Reshuffle
England have also been forced into a defensive reshuffle after Reece James was ruled out with a minor hamstring injury. Djed Spence is expected to deputise at right-back, with Ezri Konsa and Marc Guehi continuing in central defence alongside Nico O'Reilly at left-back.
Likely Starting XI
If the reports prove accurate, England could line up as follows: Jordan Pickford; Djed Spence, Ezri Konsa, Marc Guehi, Nico O'Reilly; Kobbie Mainoo, Elliot Anderson; Noni Madueke, Jude Bellingham, Marcus Rashford; Harry Kane.
Tuchel's Warning
Tuchel has stressed that, despite England already booking their place in the last 32, there will be no room for complacency against a Panama side playing only for pride. "We cannot underestimate them," Tuchel said ahead of the match, insisting his side remain focused on finishing top of the group and building momentum before the knockout rounds.
