West Ham United have sacked Nuno Espirito Santo and are already closing in on his successor, with Scott Parker set to take charge.
The Portuguese coach was dismissed on Tuesday morning following back-to-back defeats to Southampton and West Brom, which have left the club eighth in the Championship table.
Parker set for return
According to The Athletic, former West Ham Player of the Year Scott Parker will get the job. Parker has been out of work since leaving Burnley at the end of last season but has achieved promotion to the Premier League three separate times.
An announcement is imminent, with the club hopeful they can have Parker in the dugout for Wednesday's trip to Cardiff City.
