Jurgen Klopp Gets Jose Mourinho Sacked for Third Time

Jose Mourinho must be tired of facing Jurgen Klopp, as the Liverpool manager has now been involved in all three of Mourinho's sackings. The latest came after Manchester United's 3-1 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday, a result that left United 19 points behind the Premier League leaders and led to Mourinho's dismissal on Tuesday.

Klopp's first Premier League win as Liverpool manager also contributed to Mourinho's downfall. In October 2015, Liverpool came from behind to beat Chelsea 3-1, leaving the reigning champions in 15th place. Mourinho was sacked weeks later after further defeats.

The German also played a role in Mourinho's departure from Real Madrid in 2013. Klopp's Borussia Dortmund thrashed Madrid 4-1 in the Champions League semi-finals, leaving the Spanish side trophyless in Mourinho's final season. His exit was confirmed a month later.

Sunday's victory completed an unlikely hat-trick for Klopp, as Mourinho lost his job for the third time after a defeat to the German. The Portuguese manager has now been sacked by Chelsea, Real Madrid, and Manchester United, with Klopp featuring prominently in each case.
