Two Die In Freak Glass Accident At Hertfordshire FC Car Park

Two workmen have died in a freak accident while unloading glass panels from a lorry in the car park of Hitchin Town Football Club in Hertfordshire. The incident occurred on Saturday 6 September at approximately 2pm.

A third man sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene. Hertfordshire Police confirmed that the two men died at the scene and their next of kin have been informed and are being supported by officers.

Police are investigating the incident, which took place in the overflow car park of the football club. A spokesperson for Hitchin Town FC expressed their deepest sympathy and sincere condolences to the families of the victims, describing the event as a tragic accident.
