Truro match off after En-Neyah medical emergency

Truro City's National League South fixture at Folkestone Invicta was called off on Saturday after visiting player Yassine En-Neyah suffered a medical emergency during the warm-up. The 26-year-old, a former Nottingham Forest youth product, was taken to hospital by ambulance after collapsing on the pitch, with the vehicle driving onto the playing surface to collect him.

Club Confirms Postponement

Both clubs issued a short statement confirming the postponement, followed by a further message from Truro identifying En-Neyah as the player involved and stating he was receiving further treatment. The statement read: "Truro City can confirm that this afternoon’s match against Folkestone Invicta has been postponed. Yassine En-Neyah required medical assistance during the warm-up and was transferred to the William Harvey hospital in Ashford for further treatment. We will provide a further update in due course."

Player Background

En-Neyah made one senior appearance for Forest in an FA Cup tie against Chelsea in January 2020. He left the club the following year and has since played for Shelbourne, Waterford and Maldon and Tiptree. Earlier this week, he completed the full 90 minutes as Truro faced West Brom's Under-21s in the National League Cup.
