Tottenham will begin their pre-season preparations with a behind-closed-doors friendly against MK Dons at Hotspur Way on Saturday evening. The match kicks off at 5pm BST.
New signings set for debuts
Head coach Roberto De Zerbi has been backed in the transfer market, with Tottenham spending over £200million on six new players. Two of those – Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes – are expected to make their first appearances for the club in this friendly.
The game provides De Zerbi with a chance to assess senior players as well as youngsters, with Mikey Moore and Jamie Donley among those in contention after loan spells at Rangers and Oxford respectively.
Context of the match
Tottenham secured their Premier League status on the final day of the 2025-26 campaign by beating Everton. There is a determination from all involved to avoid another relegation battle next season. This friendly marks the first step in their preparations for the new campaign.
