Witnesses reported projectiles, including a traffic cone, being thrown from both sides of the divide. Tottenham fans, outnumbering their Chelsea counterparts, were seen singing towards the home supporters, prompting a larger police presence to be deployed.
The victory marked Tottenham's first win at Chelsea's home ground in 28 years, with goals from Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli (two) securing the historic result. The three points moved Spurs eight points clear of Chelsea in fourth place, with both teams having a game in hand over league leaders Liverpool.
