A League of Their Own fans are celebrating this week as the beloved TV show embarks on its first-ever live tour across the UK. The programme, which delighted millions since its debut in March 2010, concluded after 20 series at the end of last year. Now, audiences can enjoy more chaos and laughter as the show goes on the road.
The Jamie Redknapp-fronted production returns as a live experience for the first time this September, with a seven-date arena tour. Highlights include stops in London, Newcastle, Manchester, and a headline night at Liverpool’s M&S Bank Arena on Friday, September 4, 2026.
Redknapp will be joined on stage by team captains Jill Scott and Tony Bellew, alongside regulars Tom Davis, Patrice Evra, and Maisie Adam. More guests are expected to be announced soon. Audiences can anticipate the same loud, unpredictable challenges that made the show a hit.
Over 26 years, the series delivered countless hilarious moments. Here are three iconic ones.
1. 'You text Gary Neville haven't ya?'
On a road trip with Freddie Flintoff, Romesh Ranganathan, and Alan Carr, Jamie Redknapp was always going to be in trouble. Romesh got hold of Jamie's phone and sent a cheeky text to fellow broadcaster Gary Neville. Playing innocent, Romesh denied involvement.
Even when the former Liverpool midfielder reminded them they work together, Flintoff quipped: 'I've never seen him [Neville] at Fulham!' The text read: 'I know you were only here five minutes but what's the best restaurant in Valencia?'
The gag put Redknapp in an awkward spot with Neville, who endured a tough managerial spell including a heavy defeat to Barcelona. Still, the Manchester United legend sent his restaurant recommendations to his Sky Sports colleague.
2. 'It's typical Kopites once again, glory hunting'
A simple question—who do you support and why?—sparked a sensitive debate. Passionate Evertonian Tony Bellew laid into Micah Richards and Jamie Redknapp for not supporting their local teams. When Redknapp claimed he was a Liverpool fan, Bellew fired back: 'No you're not, you're not from Liverpool.'
Bellew continued: 'It's typical Kopites once again, glory hunting rubbish. They're not from the city. If you shut the airports on matchday, Anfield will be empty.' He added: 'He's not a scouser—big Liverpool fan.'
3. 'He's one of them two-team idiots'
Bellew then turned on Micah Richards, the opposition captain. The Birmingham-born defender admitted he supported Manchester City on camera but was an Arsenal fan behind the scenes, due to his admiration for Thierry Henry. Bellew seized the moment, exclaiming: 'Jesus Christ! What's up with you people?! Support where you are from.'
When Redknapp chimed in that he also supported Bournemouth, Bellew retorted: 'That's even worse. He's one of them two-team idiots. That's the worst person in the world.' Asked why he himself supported Everton, Bellew responded: 'I was chosen. I didn't choose. All my children are Evertonians as well. I've told them it's character building.'
Fans can catch the live show at venues including Liverpool, Manchester, London, Newcastle, Birmingham, and Glasgow. Tickets are available via Live Nation.
